This is how we successfully prepare your kitchen cabinets for the right water based lacquer.
Remove drawers, doors, hardware and hinges from each.
Label each door and drawer in a detailed diagram so it may be reinstalled in the correct position.
Thoroughly clean to remove dirt and stains from surface or doors, drawers and casings.
Thoroughly sand doors, drawers and casings to remove glossy finishes (if oak or other lacquered wood surface), or old paint.
Application
Prime coat:
Spray Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond Primer - tightly bonds to many glossy surfaces and assures uniform appearance of topcoats necessary for Cabinets.Finish Coats:
Spray two coats of SHER-WOOD® KEM AQUA® Pigmented Lacquer - a fast drying waterborne topcoat designed for use on a wide variety of interior wood finishing applications.
