How We Do It

Preparation

Detailed preparation is the key to any well-executed painting project.
This is how we successfully prepare your interior baseboards, crown moulding, doors, and window and door trim for the right paint or coating for protection and beauty.

  • We start with sanding, scraping and caulking your baseboards, window trim, door trim, crown moulding, and doors as necessary to get them ready for painting.

  • Tape and paper floors and walls (if not being painted), to isolate the area being painted. 

  • Use dap and caulking where needed to fill minor holes and places where the trim, baseboards, or molding are separated from the drywall. 

  • Fill and sand nail holes on trim/baseboard/molding with Wood Filler.

Application

  • NEW and BARE WOOD - One coat of primer on bare surfaces to prepare for topcoats.
    -Apply two top coats.

  • REFINISHINg: Spray or brush (project size dependent) - two coats of appropriate coating for baseboards, crown moulding, doors, and window and door trim.

Finishing

  • Fitz Painting Project Manager site walk around to note any areas of concern for final touchups.Complete touchups as needed.

  • Complete touchups as needed.
